I love first year sessions! Babies change so much over the first year of their lives. Today is Amnisy’s first birthday. Isn’t she just the cutest. We photographed five sessions for Amnisty, starting with a maternity, newborn, four month, eight month, and finally, a one year session. Happy Birthday Amnisty! I look forward to watching you grow.
I {michelle} recently had the opportunity to second shoot with a good friend of mine, Heather Lilly, of Heather Lilly Photography. See her blog post here. I had such a blast. It was completely different to shoot a wedding as a second shooter. One:: I’m NEVER with the guys when they are getting ready. They so have it made! Lounge around watching TV until about 15 minutes before they need to be somewhere and then start getting ready. Two:: I always know the bride and groom. It really made me realize how much I love getting to know my clients on a personal level. Three:: I never shoot with anyone other then Zach. I was so nervous to go out and shoot with Heather. I didn’t know how she worked, she didn’t know how I worked. I’m used to shooting with Zach. We shoot every wedding together. I know what shots he’s going to get, he knows what I’m going to get. Plus, we’ve been married for almost seven years now, so we can basically communicate without actually speaking to each other. ;) But…Heather was so great to work with, I really got lucky with that one.
