On Saturday, April 8, Food Network star Alton Brown will return to Milwaukee for a new live show, "Eat Your Science," at the Riverside Theater. But before anybody eats their science, Brown plans to eat our city's best – and he wants your help, Milwaukee foodies, in planning his culinary attack.
On March 10, Brown posted the following call-to-action on his Facebook page:
The last time Brown hit Milwaukee, the TV personality swigged down some Colectivo and Valentine Coffee (which he called "one of the best cups so far"), as well as scored some Kopp's custard, battled the crowds at Sobelmans for a burger and fell in love with Cranky Al's signature cruller.
So help the guy out, comment on his Facebook post and send Alton to some of our city's best (for some help, here's some top-notch picks from our own foodie, Lori Fredrich). Don't lead him astray!
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
