Food, art, music and, of course, beer are all featured at Amorphic's second annual math nerd beer fest.

The event – which debuted last year – takes place at the brewery on March 11 and 14 and the return is part of the brewery's self-professed, "never ending quest to stay the most science-nerd-esque brewery in Milwaukee."

Here's what you can expect (in the words of Amorphic) ...

Saturday, March 11

From 2 to 4 p.m. two engineering challenges will take place, one involving the launching of marshmallows and the other flying chicken eggs from the roof. All materials provided, grab your team and show up, fun for all ages, prizes awarded.

From 5 to 9 p.m. Don Pastor food truck (which won last year's OnMilwaukee Taco Fest) will be outside slinging their award-winning Mexican cuisine.

New beer releases planned:

  •  Lagrange Points, 7.0% ABV, a gluten reduced West Coast IPA made with Michigan-grown Chinook hops.
  •  DDH Fluffy Logic Moteuka-Mosaic Cryo, 6.3% ABV
  •  Particle Smasher, 6.7% ABV – All Citra hazy IPA with liquid flowable whirlpool and dry hops.
  •  Eye of the Beerholder, 7.1% ABV – Collaboration with Garth's brew bar in Madison, Citrus Infused Czech style Maibock.

From 6 to 11 p.m. MKE Music Night will take place behind the brewery in the backroom, featuring live music performances by Matt Froelich, Shell Bells, Sam Balisteri, Tlalok, and Cosmic Lovechild. Featured art pieces from Yuliya Bay, Erika Elz and Tyrone Macklee Randle Jr.

On Saturdays, you can take the free shuttle between Riverwest's five breweries. More on that here.

Tuesday, March 14, 4-10 p.m.

Free pie from Honeypie Cafe while it lasts, show up, have a beer, eat some pie, watch some science videos, and celebrate Einstein's birthday.
