Blue’s Egg
Blue’s Egg, an American breakfast and lunch restaurant with food inspired from around the world, offers brunch every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The newest location, freshly opened in Shorewood at 4195 N. Oakland Ave., has slightly different ownership than the group's other restaurants, which include Maxie's and Story Hill BKC.
Try all the favorite brunch items at Blue’s, such as classics like buttermilk pancakes or French toast or twists to familiar favorites with the blueberry pancakes or the berry-smothered French toast. Order the polenta or variations of egg benedicts – including the Florentine, which comes with fresh spinach, beef-steak tomatoes, an english muffin and hollandaise, or the Dubliner, which comes with corned beef, creamy leeks, rye toast and paprika aioli.
Pro tip: Get there with some time to spare because there's always a crowd. But the wait is always worth it.
