Hamburger Mary's
In the past, this category belonged exclusively to LaCage, which won handily for the better part of a decade. But for the second year in a row, upstart Hamburger Mary's has been named as Milwaukee's best LGBT bar. And, after moving from Bay View to the former La Perla location in Walker's Point in November, opening in a much larger space for its many events and activities, readers seemed to love Hamburger Mary's even more.
The vibrant, inclusive restaurant chain, bar and performance venue offers delectable burgers, cocktails and milkshakes for those not drinking alcohol. There are gender-neutral bathrooms, the popular HamBingo, Mary-oke and drag shows and the Beercade, a boutique arcade, craft beer and sports bar next door to Mary's.

This Is It, now approaching its 50th year in business, deserves a special shout-out for adapting to changing times with vision, vibrance and vitality.
There's truly something special about the This Is It experience that can't be felt anywhere else in Milwaukee.
