Drink in this excellent news: The Bloody Mary Festival will return to Deer District on Saturday, Aug. 20.
After debuting in Milwaukee in 2019 and returning in 2021 from a one-year COVID-induced absence, the Bloody Mary Festival will serve up another round of some of the area's best bloody marys in the summery shadow of Fiserv Forum. And once again, attendees will be able to vote for which cocktail earns the title of the best bloody mary in the state – all while enjoying plentiful samples of the beloved tonics and toppings.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Deer District,” said Evan Weiss, the festival organizer, in a release. "We’ll be crowning a Bloody Mary champion, and we couldn’t think of a better place to do that at than the home of a champion team."
The festival is divided into two sessions: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as well as 3:45-6 p.m. Those who purchase VIP access, however, will receive bonus bloody time, with those sessions beginning early at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Bloody Mary Festival's website. And be sure to bring your thirst – and perhaps a raging hangover too.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
