After 162 games, the regular season is finally wrapped up – and now it's time for the Brewers' chase for the World Series, hoping to add some more history to go along with their latest NL Central Division crown.

With the help of some late Chicago Cubs collapses and critical Brewers wins, Milwaukee has earned the third seed on the National League side of the playoff bracket – which means their postseason return will begin with a three-game first-round series, all hosted at home. Their opponent? The final Wild Card qualifier from the National League: the Arizona Diamondbacks. The winner of this series would then go on to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Divisional Series round. (For the full playoff bracket, click here.)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. Here's the schedule – now complete with times for first pitch – for the best-of-three Wild Card round series this week against the D-Backs:

  • Game 1 – Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 6:08 p.m. 
  • Game 2 – Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 6:08 p.m.
  • Game 3 (if necessary) – Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6:08 p.m.

Each game will be hosted at American Family Field, and all three games will be broadcast on ESPN2. Depending on how the rest of the Wild Card series turn out, if a third game is necessary, the start time of that final spat may change as well. 

Getting to and into the game

For those cheering on the Brewers in the seats this week, the AmFam Field parking lots will open three hours before first pitch while the ballpark gates themselves will open two hours before the start of each game. Day-of parking will be available via credit card or cash, while pre-paid digital parking passes can also be bought with one's game tickets. For more information on parking and tailgating, click here. As for getting into the stadium, if you're planning to bring in a bag to AmFam Field, make sure it's 12" x 12" x 6" or smaller if it's a clear single-compartment bag, or 9" x 5" x 2" or smaller if its a non-clear single compartment bag. Clear one-gallon resealable zip-lock bags will also be allowed. If it's not one of those – or one of the exceptions listed on the official website – it's not getting in.

You may want to plan to on getting in early as well, because in addition to music from local high school drumlines and DJs around the park getting the crowd pumped before the game, Tuesday and Wednesday's ceremonial first pitches will come from Milwaukee sports icon Bob Uecker and 2011 Brewers hero Nyjer Morgan, respectively.
