It’s inspiring when musicians call Milwaukee their second home just because they love playing here. For Alice Cooper’s bass player Chuck Garric, rocking his wife’s hometown isn't enough, he also enjoys helping out in other ways. Although Chuck and his wife Lindsay (an OnMilwaukee.com blogger) don’t live here, the two organized a benefit concert for MPS' Lloyd Barbee Montessori School at The Hotel Foster in March.

Previous to playing the benefit, Chuck opened for Iron Maiden at last year’s Summerfest and plans to rock Milwaukee’s lakefront again this weekend as Alice Cooper plays the BMO Harris Pavilion on Sunday, June 30.

Garric isn’t the kind of person to do just one thing at a time. He tours  and records with Alice Cooper's band, but he also has his hands in several other projects. This Sunday, Chuck will be jamming with Milwaukee band Motherdog at 3 p.m. on the Casio Interstate stage before his headlining gig with Alice Cooper.

Last year Chuck also started the band Beasto Blanco and toured Europe. He’s played bass with L.A. Guns, Cheap Trick, Dio, Billy Bob Thornton, Ted Nugent, Robbie Krieger of The Doors and has enough stories to easily fill a book.

Cooper’s current band consists of Garric on bass guitar, 24-year-old female guitar player Orianthi, Ryan Roxie, Glen Sobel and Tommy Henricksen. The group is a collaboration of veteran musicians that know how to rock and party, but have learned that as you get older the partying doesn’t happen as frequently as it used to.
