As part of its ongoing Rough Draft series of collaboration beers, Bay View’s Enlightened Brewing has teamed with Sweet Smoke BBQ for a whopping three joint brews that will be released later this month.

On Saturday, Nov. 18 from noon until 6, at the taproom, 2020 S. Allis St., Sweet Smoke BBQ will be on hand for the Rough Draught Series Collab Release, serving food pairings for the trio of beers being released.

The beers are "Get Off My Lawn" Lemongrass Saison, paired with Lime Shrimp Skewers over Polenta; "Second Summer" toasted Palo Santo wood infused Ale, paired with Tres Leches Cake; and "Tasteful Nudes" Hazy IPA, paired with a Pork Sausage made with hops.

Sweet Smoke will also offer its full regular menu at the event.

Ten bucks gets you a flight of all three beers, plus you can get $4 short pours and $6 tulips.

Although Sweet Smoke stops serving at 6 p.m. the taproom will be open until 11.

“At Enlightened, we have a small-batch/pilot program called the Rough Draught Series where we frequently collaborate with retailers, friends or other industry folks,” says Enlightened’s Tommy Vandervort. “This turn was given to Sweet Smoke BBQ, who is regularly at our taproom serving probably the best Texas Style BBQ – plus smash burgers and all kinds of stuff – in Milwaukee.

“The beers were designed by them and brewed by us, inspired by flavors they love and that might pair well with some specials they're creating for the occasion.”
