’Tis Dining Month, the tastiest time of year! This means we’re dishing up fun and fascinating food content throughout October. Dig in, Milwaukee! OnMilwaukee Dining Month is served up by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and Wollersheim Winery & Distillery.
Six local chefs have partnered up to host a unique collaborative dinner at Eldr+Rime, 2300 N. Mayfair Rd., which will showcase seasonal ingredients along with the power of fire and friendship.
The five course dinner will take place on Monday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Feed the Children, a non-profit organization focused on alleviating childhood hunger.
Participating chefs for the event include Adam Pawlak of Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, Kyle Knall of Birch, Alex Lyskowicz of Bavette La Boucherie and Gary Baca, David Cook and Tim Jordan of Eldr+Rime.
“This is not your everyday scripted collaboration,” notes Pawlak. “This is about chef friends having fun in the kitchen and creating something they’re passionate about while supporting a great cause. The different perspectives and techniques that every chef brings to the table is going to be so inspiring.”
The menu will highlight dishes made with locally sourced products which also utilize Eldr+Rime’s wood fire grill and wood fire oven.
Guests can expect offerings like seafood prepared over live fire, seasonal produce, homemade pasta, slowly roasted meats, and a complementing dessert course. Each of the five-courses will be paired with thoughtfully crafted beverages.
Cost for the dinner is $175 per person (plus tax, gratuity and fees). A portion of the proceeds will benefit Feed the Children. Tickets can be purchased online.
