Ten years ago, Milwaukee musicians rallied to create the first "Lest We Forget - Milwaukee Music Scene Memorial Reunion."
The memorial concert – sponsored by WMSE 91.7 FM – will again take place on Saturday, May 28 at Turner Hall, 1040 Vel R. Phillips Ave.
Twelve local bands will perform – some of which are reuniting specifically for this show – and a portion of proceeds will go to MusiCares.org.
The event starts at 5 p.m. Bands include The Crosses, Johnny & The Losers, Wanda Chrome & The Leather Pharaohs, Starship Jukebox, Telethon, Liv Mueller, Rock-A-Dials, On Fire, Lubricants, Xposed 4Heads, 3XCleavers and Kevn Kinney.
The concert is inspired by a Facebook group honoring members of the local music scene who have passed away.
Lest We Forget 2022 is produced by Ron Faiola, who also produced Lest We Forget in 2012.
"This may be the last chance for fans to see many of these bands perform," says Faiola.
Tickets are $25 and available at RushMor Records, 2635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., the box office at The Pabst Theater, 144 E. Wells St. and online here.
