Beginning this fall, guests will be able to get their wing fix at 3rd Street Market Hall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave.
That’s because Manny Ramirez, owner of the Mr. Wings pop-up concept, has signed a lease as the 15th locally owned and operated food vendor at the Downtown food hall.
Mr. Wings, a concept which launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, boasts a sizable menu of offerings, from their juicy, crisp signature chicken wings to chicken tenders, vegetarian wings (mushroom based), and grilled or fried chicken roll-ups. Popular starters and sides include the PiXlz (Pickle Fries) and StaXz (mozzarella sticks tossed in house-made sauces).
Guests can also choose from seven all original, housemade sauces including “Gold Digger” ( mustard-based BBQ sauce), “Jamaican Me Jerk,” and “It’s Hot from Nashville”.
As for what sets Mr. Wings apart from the crowd, Ramirez says it’s consistency. His main goal is to ensure that every single wing (and every Mr. Wings experience) is the same time and time again.
He’s also excited about the opportunity to open his first on-premise venture at the Downtown food hall.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the 3rd St, Market Hall and join a well-rounded group of vendors that offer so much more than just their food,” notes Ramirez.
“I grew up going to Milwaukee and living here during my college days… I cut through the Grand Ave Mall entrance many times to stay warm going to a Bucks game with my family as a kid and ate on the 3rd floor of the food court many times as well after shopping. Milwaukee is my second home; I’ve seen this city grow with my own eyes and it’s a beautiful thing to see it unfold and I’m very thankful to be a part of it.”
Mr. Wings’ vendor stall is expected to be up and running sometime in early fall. Until then, guests can watch for news and updates from Mr. Wings on Instagram and Facebook.
