Pull out your tank tops and shorts! A tropical breeze is on its way to West Allis
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 5 and running through March 12, the bar formerly known as Station No. 6 will be taking a winter vacation. In its place at 6800 W. Becher St. guests will find an all new escapist tiki themed venue aptly named Port No. 6.
The immersive pop-up will feature a transformed bar complete with a brand new tiki-themed cocktail menu featuring more than 12 original drinks, as well as a rotating list of special cocktails which will pop on and off the menu throughout the season.
“The whole idea really pays homage to the escapist nature of tiki culture, the idea of having a place to go where you can get away from it all,” says Miles Patzer. “We’ve always talked about doing tiki as one of our themes; but we wanted to do it in the winter when people in Wisconsin really need it the most.”
Offerings will include:
- LEI ME DOWN IN SHEETS OF LINEN: Plantation White Rum, Blue Lagoon Aperitivo, Chinola Passion Fruit, housemade blueberry grenadine, lemon, lime, pineapple, coconut
- YETI: Gosling’s Black Rum, Hoodoo Chicory, St. George Nola Coffee, Giffard Vanilla, pineapple, coconut, cinnamon, nutmeg
- THE DEAD DON’T DIE: (Limit one per person) Diplomatico Rum, Gosling’s Black Rum, Chartreuse, falernum, orange liqueur, grapefruit liqueur, Absinthe, pineapple, lime, cinnamon, bitters
- CANNON FIRE: (served hot) Plantation Dark Rum, brown butter washed chai, vanilla, coconut, whipped cream, cinnamon
- FAREWELL & ADIEU: Diplomatico Rum, Brandy, Combier Apricot, house demerara, lemon, Caribbean spice bitters
But that’s not all. Port No. 6 will also be hosting specialty food pop-ups every Friday from 5 p.m. until sell-out. Each will feature a menu of themed street food, along with a specialty paired cocktail. The menu for Jan. 6 will focus on Jamaican fare.
Future pop-up menus will feature fare from Hawaii, New Orleans, Thailand, Brazil and more. Watch Port No. 6 on social media for updates.
