On Saturday, April 22 – Earth Day! – from 9 a.m. until noon, the Milwaukee Riverkeeper will host its 28th annual Spring Cleanup at locations along the rivers in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties.
Uniting volunteers from community groups and local businesses, as well as individuals, the annual cleanup works to maintain and restore area parks in the local watershed.
In 2022, 4,000 volunteers collected more than 100,000 pounds of trash from nearly 100 spots, making it, say Riverkeeper officials, the largest single day cleanup event in Southeast Wisconsin.
If you'd like to register (which is required), go here.
All participants will get a T-shirt with the design you see in the image at the top of this post and an after-cleanup Earth Day Celebration with Rock the Green at the Harley-Davidson Museum from noon until 2 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day, make a difference and have a great time at this great annual event.
