After over a year of deep cover during the pandemic, SafeHouse Control has officially initiated “Operation Reopen” a strategic effort which aims to engage agents in the suppression of rogue appetites and unquenchable thirst.
In acccordance with the operation, the iconic clandestine Cream City premises will officially reopen on June 9, once again offering refuge for spies in need of refreshment and refueling via mechanisms including the MOAB and Spytini.
The official order, as delivered to OnMilwaukee reads:
“After finding the red door down Front Street alley near the river, spies will need to provide Agent Moneypenny with the secret password (do you still remember it?!) to be granted immediate access to SafeHouse. Don’t worry if you can’t remember the password, you will be asked to complete a clearance test to prove you’re a safe spy, granting you entrance to SafeHouse.
“Once inside, spies and junior spies can investigate authentic espionage artifacts, like Austin Powers’ spy guitar, a piece of the Berlin Wall, and a machine gun from John Wayne. You can even experience the best shaken drink in all of Milwaukee, which is shaken as it travels throughout SafeHouse, or order from the longest running magic bar in the world. There are plenty of other tricks and secrets throughout SafeHouse to explore.”
“Nothing says Milwaukee is reopen like SafeHouse reopening,” remarked Agent Change – Nick Dillion, general manager of SafeHouse Milwaukee in an encrypted message accompanying the order.
“Since 1966, this Milwaukee icon has offered refuge to all spies, international and national, as a secure hideout during their food and drink missions. We are excited to once again invite all spies back to explore SafeHouse and discover the spy secrets it holds.”
All spies are invited to debrief Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Operatives can access complete orders from Control, as well as instructions for their next covert mission online.
Undercover agents are invited to enjoy lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch at the local front organization The Newsroom Pub, which reopens on June 7 with hours Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
