Milwaukee’s first small-batch CBD bakery and confectionary launches today (Sept. 7) with a line of CBD or Delta 8-infused macarons, chocolates, brownies, cookies, and dog treats (CBD).
Sweetly Baked is the name of the new online shop, which will offer limited pick up hours at 770 N. Jefferson St. starting Wednesday, Sept. 8 (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or until sold out). Products can also be shipped to customers throughout the State of Wisconsin.
The bakery is owned and operated by Amanda Buhrman, a home baker who developed an interest in infusion baking during the pandemic. After a year of studying the science and process of infusing CBD products into baked goods and confections, she decided to turn her hobby into a career, partnering with local company, Goodland Extracts, to source her CBD.
“The early days of the pandemic were incredibly stressful,” notes Buhrman. “And I found that baking like this was relaxing and rewarding. I enjoyed it so much and received so much positive feedback about my treats that I decided to take the leap. Launching this has been its own adventure and I'm thrilled to start this next chapter.”
Current products, which include items like shortbread cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies (including vegan brownies), chocolates and macarons – all made in a licensed shared commercial kitchen Downtown – are available for order on the Sweetly Baked site, with prices ranging from $4-$10 per item.
Customers are encouraged to Follow Sweetly Baked on social media Instagram and Facebook for product listings and pick-up window hours, which will vary from week to week.. In addition to the pickup window, Sweetly Baked is exploring opportunities at farmers and makers markets and will consider a physical location in the future.
