Earlier this year, we brought you the news about The Edison, a new restaurant concept from Benson’s Restaurant Group slated to open at 322 N. Broadway. The highly anticipated Third Ward Eatery promises to be a worthy follow-up to Benson’s latest venture, The Bridgewater Modern Grill, which opened last fall.
Even better, it’s slated to officially open its doors to the public on Wednesday, July 5.
“We’re thrilled to debut our newest restaurant, The Edison, to the community,” notes David Marcus, CEO of Benson’s Restaurant Group. “It’s in an amazing location, with unparalleled atmosphere and delicious food and drink, we can’t wait to welcome guests for any meal of the day and happy hour.”
Led by General Manager Patrick Erdman and Executive Chef Anthony Janssen, the spacious neighborhood grill will feature accommodations for 140 guests in the bar and dining area, plus seating for over 40 on its outdoor patio.
Its speakeasy-style bar will offer a curated selection of distilled spirits, modern riffs on nostalgic cocktails, local draft beer, plus an approachable wine list. Meanwhile, the menu will feature coal-fired butcher’s cuts, including a shaved prime rib sandwich and porterhouse steak, a selection of seafood and numerous other options including mushroom casserole and fish and chips. Brunch offerings will include items like creme fraiche pancakes and brioche French toast.
Diners will also be able to enjoy celebratory live music from local artists at The Edison throughout our Great Milwaukee Summer.
Guests interested in getting an early peek at the new sophisticated neighborhood grill concept can participate in The Edison’s soft opening, which will accommodate walk-ins beginning June 30.
Beginning July 5, The Edison will be open seven days a week for brunch, lunch and dinner. Hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations from July 5 forward are available on OpenTable.
The Edison is currently hiring for both front and back of house positions. To apply, visit bensonsrestaurantgroup.com/
